Durham Bodywork

Bodywork + Rest in Community

Our Community Clinics are Two Saturdays A Month At The Living Arts Collective.

All sessions are 60 minutes and have two distinct parts:
Bodywork + Integrative Rest

The first part of your session involves clothed bodywork, which is catered to your unique needs. After this, you are guided into Integrative Rest, which is where you rest in an intentional and supportive position to deepen the impact of the bodywork. We want to give you the space you need to absorb what you felt during the hands on work. Plus, your session happens in the same room as others. This is important to us because we believe there is magic in healing together.

Our sliding scale starts at $45, and a portion of your payment goes directly into our community fund to support others. Please contact us if you have any inquiries about your payment or donating to the fund.

There is space for you here. All people are welcomed and cared for.

Our Mission

We exist to foster connection to self, others, and our community, using the body as the doorway to experience.

We aim to:

  • Normalize bodywork and human touch as powerful means of promoting relaxation, a necessary part of sustainable livelihoods.
  • Offer community-based, creative, and affordable experiences with bodywork and somatic education for people curious about whole-person wellness.
  • Create a sustainable business that supports the well-being of our team and the community we serve.

about us

Durham Bodywork is an organization built by a group of people who wanted to find a way to offer and receive bodywork as part of a greater community effort. This led us to design an affordable clinic model that celebrates the wholeness of our community, banding together to heal old and new wounds through meaningful connection and self-care. We practice embodiment together as a form of empowerment, learning to feel our strength and trust in our resilient spirit.

We are so grateful for our partnership with Living Arts Collective, an organization that celebrates embodiment, movement, and community. This space hosts dance and contact improvisation classes, workshops, dance socials, live performances, and community gatherings, and welcomes a huge community of artists. Amazing space to connect with your body and to feel at home.
