Our unique model provides whole-person care in 60 minutes of Bodywork and Integrative Rest, addressing your individual needs within a community setting. Schedule your appointment online.
Arrive 5-10 minutes early in comfortable, clean clothes (soft, stretchy or loose, lounge-comfy). When planning your day, allow about 75 minutes total.
You'll be welcomed by a Durham Bodywork team member. Here, you'll complete payment and your intake form, and settle in before your massage therapist greets you at your session start time. If you are a new client, please consider completing your health history form before arriving.
In collaboration with your massage therapist, you'll determine an intention based on your current needs and the information on your intake form. We encourage you to explore what might support you on the day of your session.
Your therapist will use intentional, skilled touch to support your intention. Your session is clothed for comfort and mobility, and you will receive about 30-35 minutes of massage.
Your therapist will support your transition to Integrative Rest, where you'll join other clients and settle in with bolsters, pillows, and blankets. The integration guide will care for the entire group for the remaining 20-25 minutes of your session. They will ensure your comfort and offer a simple guided practice to assist you in relaxing and absorbing the benefits of your massage.
The integration guide will suggest gentle movements to shift you up and out of stillness. You'll fill out a brief outtake form to compare how you feel after your session to when you arrived. And you'll have a chance to go slow, sit for awhile, ask any questions you may have, and schedule your next session.
We offer a sliding scale of $45-95 with no income verification. If the base of our sliding scale is not affordable, please check out our community fund.
You'll pay at the start of your session, choosing the amount that feels right for you that day. We accept cash, checks, and cards.
Our minimum payment of $45 supports a living wage for our team. Additional profits are distributed between our team and business, increasing our ability to support our community with healing work over the long term.
5% of your payment automatically goes into our community fund to support members of our community for whom $45 is not affordable. We happily accept direct donations to this fund.
Our clinics are located in the Living Arts Collective, between Blue Point Yoga and Crossfit Durham. Enter through the main doors on the Geer Street side of the building.
Free parking lots are available in front and behind the Living Arts Collective and two blocks east on Geer Street beside the Accordion Club. Paid parking is available behind Motorco and on the adjacent streets. There is an accessible parking space beside the entrance.
Our clinic team is a magical group of humans including skilled bodyworkers and healers, yoga instructors and energy workers and activists. We work together to care for you in each clinic, amplifying what we could do alone.
