I received my certification for massage therapy and health education in 2019 from the National Holistic Institute. In my late twenties at the time, I was pleased to learn my pursuit of meaningful care work would begin in a year long intensive and last as long as I choose. I chose to never stop deepening my knowledge through various body sciences and athletic passions like kickboxing, jiu jitsu and yoga. Modalities I continue to borrow from to equip my toolbox include Thai massage, sports massage, myofascial therapies, pre and peri natal massage, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), and more.
Our sessions will be catered to your needs, as uncomplicated or dimensional as they may be. This could look like incorporating massage into your injury rehabilitation program. This could be a brave step in receiving trauma-informed touch in a soothing, restorative session. You may be seeking deep tissue techniques to tenderize your over-worked muscles. And you may need detailed, localized work to relieve pain and give you access to a fuller range of motion.
Most of us have been harmed in one way or another by the cruel inequities in access to care by the medical industrial complex. My approach to massage therapy and bodywork is guided by my belief in our right to health autonomy and self-determination. It is a joy to help facilitate new or renewed paths toward your embodiment.
